SAN MATEO, Calif. — Verkada has released the results of its 2024 State of Cloud Physical Security report and introduced its first-ever annual awards program.
Verkada’s 2024 State of Cloud Physical Security is based on insights from IT and physical security leaders across a range of sectors. The findings explore current trends, insights and challenges within the industry as it undergoes the “inevitable” transition of physical security from on-premise setups to feature-rich cloud-managed options.
Key findings from Verkada’s 2024 State of Cloud Physical Security report include a growing consensus about a cloud-based future, strong commitment to cloud migration and urgent adoption timelines, a positive shift in attitudes toward cyber preparedness, and the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into security solutions.
Commissioned by Verkada, Harris Poll surveyed 1,518 U.S. security professionals from March 19 to April 16, 2024. The analysis sample included employees at U.S. companies with 100 or more employees who are directly involved in determining security requirements for their company’s physical security infrastructure and influence final purchasing decisions.
Verkada also announced its 2024 Safety Champion Awards. The awards are designed to recognize security leaders who have excelled across a variety of disciplines and industries to show appreciation for their efforts in keeping our communities safe. Awards presented consist of the Verkada Impact Award, Security Professional Excellence Award, and School Safety Excellence Award.
