For Apple Watch users living in China, Apple is preparing the seventh installment of its annual Activity Challenge for “National Fitness Day.”
“National Fitness Day” Apple Watch Challenge
Like last year, the National Fitness Day Challenge will take place on August 8 and aims to motivate users to do at least 20 minutes of workout. Those who complete the workout using their Apple Watch will be rewarded with a special achievement.
“Get active for National Fitness Day! On August 8, complete any workout for at least 20 minutes to earn an award. Track your time in the Workout app or in an app that adds workouts to Health,” Apple describes the challenge.
The Apple Watch Activity Challenge unlocks custom sticker packs for iPhone to use in iMessage, FaceTime, and other messaging apps. These stickers are especially featured in iOS 17 and iOS 18.
Additionally, virtual trophies unique to each challenge are unlocked upon completion. These are special because they can only be redeemed by completing specific challenge parameters within a set time period. Unlocked trophies can be viewed in the Fitness app on iPhone or the Activity app on Apple Watch.
Again, please note that this challenge is only open to users from China.
