Following the announcement that physical pre-orders have begun, Alan Wake 2Remedy Entertainment has published an FAQ with clarification.
Most importantly, Alan Wake 2 The game will require an additional download and will include the Night Springs expansion content and the Lake House. The developer also confirmed that the physical release will ship on a single disc.
The Night Springs expansion will be included in the Digital Deluxe Edition, and the upcoming physical Deluxe and Collector’s Editions. Digital Standard Edition owners can upgrade to the Deluxe Edition. Four new trophies/achievements have also been added.
Night Springs will be available in the main menu once you purchase the Expansion Pass. To access it, follow these steps:
It can also be accessed in-game by interacting with the TV located in the levels displaying the Night Springs logo in the missions Casey, Room 665, and Zane’s Film.
Night Springs features three characters:
- Time Breaker
- The actor, who bears an uncanny resemblance to Bright Falls Sheriff Tim Breaker, is a Multiverse Hero in the game Time Breakers. His character must track down the Master of the Multiverse and stop him from murdering the different parallel universes of the Multiverse Heroes.
- Polaris
- The Sibling, an unidentified woman who bears a striking resemblance to FBC director Jesse Faden, is attempting to find her missing brother who is being held captive in Coffee World.
- Number One Fan
- A waitress at Oh Dear Diner, who bears a striking resemblance to Rose Marigold, must save her idol, a writer, from the peril he finds himself in. To do so, she must confront the writer’s critics and the writer’s evil twin, Bad Boy.
The Lake House expansion is scheduled for October 2024.
