The University of Mount Union’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program has received 10-year reaccreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education.
The program, which was established in 2016, achieved this status on April 30th; the first certifications were made in 2019.
The Doctor of Physical Therapy program boasts an overall pass rate of 98.7% on the National Physical Therapist Examination, with 100% of qualified candidates employed in the physical therapy field within six months of graduation.
“We have a dedicated and talented team whose vision and work have made the program’s success possible, and they are already looking to the next horizon and all that we have yet to achieve,” said Dr. Cheryl Holt, associate professor and director of Mount Union’s DPT program. “In the meantime, we congratulate our graduates for the six years they have already been making a difference in the lives of those they serve.”
Mount Union is one of only six private institutions in Ohio that offers a DPT program accredited through CAPTE and one of only four private institutions that offer an accelerated guaranteed pathway to college undergraduates.
