Faculty and staff can build anticipation for the 2024 Summer Olympics by participating in “Go Gold,” a four-week Olympic-themed physical activity challenge.
In celebration of the 2024 Paris Olympics, Go Gold will trace the evolution of the international sporting event from ancient Greece to modern times. Participants can track their physical activity within the platform or using an activity tracking device/app and experience their progression by exploring seven different eras of Olympic competition. By tracking their activity, participants can climb the podium and win virtual bronze, silver and gold medals while improving their health and fitness.
Go Gold will run from Monday, July 15 through Sunday, August 11. Registration and team formation closes on July 19. Go Gold is open only to faculty and staff who qualify for the benefit.
If you sign up now, you can download the Go Gold app, form a team (optional), add friends and browse recipes while you wait for the challenge to begin. Active participation throughout the four weeks will earn you a chance to win a prize at the end of the challenge. As a bonus, there will also be extra activities to keep you moving during the challenge, including Zumba sessions and an outdoor obstacle course.
