Eaum Yoga + Fitness hosts summer camp for kids ages 4-9

Calling all young yoga enthusiasts! There are plenty of camps for kids in and around the Chippewa Valley, from a few weeks at the YMCA’s Camp Manitou, to local acting camps, to educational camps at area colleges, and now there’s Eaum Kids Summer Camp.
Eaum Yoga + Fitness has burst onto the scene in downtown Eau Claire with a highly successful opening on September 9th. Among the fitness studio’s amenities and features, one of the most unique is a full-time staffed childcare space. The studio also allows up to 10 children, from toddlers to older kids, to play in a supervised environment while their parents or guardians work out.
Co-owners Maria Marquardt and Taylor Weiss are parents themselves, so they wanted their new business to offer childcare services and accommodate the needs of children. It was no exaggeration for the owners to offer a summer experience for kids that blends yoga practice with storytelling, crafts and more. Eaum Kids Summer Camp is offered in two groups: The Littles: ages 4-6 and The “Eaum”ies: ages 7-9.
Little’s Camp will run from 1:30-4pm July 9-11 and has 14 spots available as of June 3. “Eaum”ies Camp will run from 1:30-4pm July 23-25 and has 20 spots available as of June 3. Participants will experience a variety of yoga poses and exercises tailored to age groups, as well as interactive activities such as storytelling and songs that teach breathing techniques. Group and individual activities are also offered and, weather permitting, kids can enjoy snacks and outdoor activities in Haymarket Square just down the street.
