In her latest film, Vidya demonstrates the step-by-step process of practising yoga. Urdhva Dhanurasana Also known as Wheel Pose, this challenging asana helps strengthen the core of the body. It increases lung capacity, relieves asthma, aids digestion and boosts stamina. Vidya began the yoga pose by lying on her back on the mat. Balancing on her hands and toes, she slowly raised her body into an arched position. Gracefully showcasing her great fitness and talent, she seamlessly lifted one leg into the air. Noting the various names for the asana, Vidya added, “Urdhva Dhanurasana. Wheel pose. Chakrasana. same Asana It just has different names in different yoga styles.”

For a balanced yoga routine, Vidya Malavade swears by backbends. Adding this asana to your regimen will increase your flexibility and strength. Better posture, increased mobility, and reduced fatigue are other reasons to try this beneficial exercise. For beginners, Vidya shows us how to do it. We’re ready to listen and take notes. “Backbends are done in stages. The more you practice, the better you will get. You can do deeper backbends after opening your shoulder/hip flexors and upper thoracic spine for at least 30-40 minutes,” she writes on Instagram. One word of advice: “Never skip the preparatory poses.”

Vidya Malavade agrees that strength training is an important part of your workout routine. It tones muscles, improves heart health, boosts metabolism, and strengthens bones. But she also suggests fellow fitness enthusiasts include deep stretching exercises in their workout schedules. In another Instagram post, Vidya, clad in all-pink athleisure wear, demonstrates a variety of glute exercises. “Engage your glutes. Strength training contracts your muscles, and deep stretches like these lengthen them, so you need both,” she wrote.
