In Zengence, players control their breathing and use the resulting breath they exhale into the microphone as an energy source that can be used to spot enemies, dodge attacks, and recharge weapons. Zengence combines breathing training with shooting mechanics to train and strengthen resilience in stressful situations.
Zengence encourages players to practice and master levels with the game’s 30 levels plus daily challenges and leaderboards, helping players consistently manage stress. Techniques can also be learned and practiced in Zen Garden, a separate learning area within the game that combines movement, breathing, and sound to maximize vagus nerve stimulation.
