Bravo! Dallas Symphony Orchestra at the Vail Music Festival

After a spectacular start to a six-week festival with the Sinfonica Mineria last weekend, Bravo! Vail welcomes the Dallas Symphony Orchestra for its next season. Conductor Fabio Luisi and the orchestra have just returned from Europe, where they performed in many new concert halls in a short period of time.
“The tour has been very exciting for all of us,” Luigi said. “We’ll be performing many of the pieces we performed on the tour here in Vail.”
On Friday, Luigi will conduct American Broadway Songbook, the first pops show he will conduct at the Bravo! Vail Music Festival.
“Broadway productions are so rooted in American music history and so well known, these songs connect with audiences in a different way. It also shows how agile the orchestra is and it’s just so much fun,” Luigi said.
On Saturday, hear Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5 and the Colorado premiere of Anna Klein’s new work for piano and orchestra, ATLAS, performed by pianist Jeremy Denk. On Sunday, hear Brahms’ Violin Concerto and Strauss’ Don Juan and Der Rosenkavalier.
Tickets can be purchased at BravoVail.org. The show begins at 6 p.m. at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater.
