Cleveland Clinic is once again the No. 1 hospital in the country for cardiology, heart surgery and vascular surgery, according to new rankings released by U.S. News & World Report. The Ohio institution has held the top spot since 2020.
NYU Langone Hospital moved up to second place, up from fifth place in 2023. Mayo Clinic and Mount Sinai Hospital remained in third and fourth place, respectively, the same positions as in 2023. NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia and Cornell University moved up to fifth place, up from sixth place a year ago.
The rankings, released each summer, are designed to help patients find the best possible hospital when seeking treatment.
“Choosing the right hospital for your needs shouldn’t be a guesswork exercise,” U.S. News Health Analysis Chief and Editor-in-Chief Ben Harder said in a statement. “The 2024-2025 Best Hospitals edition provides patients and their families with clear, data-driven insights into hospital performance, empowering Americans to choose the facility that best suits their specific healthcare needs.”
