“That’s a bit of an exaggeration. Our area has multiple hospitals and plenty of specialists. Whenever I needed treatment I was able to find it, so I negate the premise of the question. I would say I’m happy with medical care in Humboldt!”

“I don’t have any health issues right now, but with my health care options continuing to dwindle, I am wondering if it’s wise to age here. Humboldt is a beautiful city, but it’s hard. I don’t know what to expect.”

“As someone with special health needs (or someone with a loved one with special health needs), it’s becoming harder to justify living here. As sad as it is to admit, I am considering leaving and may have to one day.”

“We all chose to live in this beautiful but rural location. We have pristine forests, beaches and rivers. But for better or worse, we don’t have an Olive Garden. Admittedly, I’ve had to travel out of the area from time to time for certain health care. It’s the price of living in Humboldt, but for me, the benefits of the area outweigh the drawbacks (i.e. no Olive Garden).”

“You have no idea what you’re talking about. Arcata leads the country in Kambo practitioners per capita. Open your minds, sheep!”
