
Digital fashion designer Steffy Fong unveiled her first SYKY Collective collection at NFT Paris, coinciding with the luxury fashion startup’s integration into the Polygon blockchain ecosystem.
Expressing her vision as a digital fashion artist, Fong emphasized the collection’s transformative potential. She noted the common gap between traditional fashion industry perceptions and digital fashion, highlighting the misconception that digital fashion is just a novelty. Ms. Fung emphasized the importance of merging the fashion industry with her Web3 technology and emphasized its paramount importance.
The ‘Four Dragons’ collection by fans takes inspiration from Chinese tradition and pays homage to this year’s Chinese zodiac Year of the Dragon. Consisting of his four different digital fashion pieces: Long Dragon, Pearl Dragon, Yellow Dragon, and Black Dragon, this collection offers a fusion of cultural symbolism and contemporary design. Notably, Yellow Dragon will be available in both digital and physical formats, while Pearl Dragon will only be accessible through Polygon.
Alice Delahunt, SYKY’s CEO and founder, highlighted the brand’s collaboration with Polygon as a way to democratize luxury fashion and expand creative horizons. Mr. Huang highlighted the inclusive nature of digital fashion, noting its ability to lower barriers to entry and allow individuals from diverse backgrounds to participate in creative expression within the industry.
The partnership between SYKY and Polygon is expected to expand its reach to over 400 million unique addresses, strengthening its global presence and accessibility. Founded in 2022 by Alice Delahunt, SYKY secured a US$10.5 million Series A funding round in January 2023, led by Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian’s investment firm Seven Seven Six.
