Stack’s Bowers Galleries is proud to announce its June 2024 physical Bitcoin and cryptocurrency auction, which will take place across two sessions, with Part 1 on Wednesday, June 19th and Part 2 on Thursday, June 20th. The June sale will be the first cryptocurrency-only sale to take place after the halving and will include over $1 million in physical Bitcoin across 150 lots.
The company’s last auction at the end of March saw over $1.7 million in crypto assets sold before the auctioneer’s hammer finally fell, setting a new benchmark for prices and collectible premiums, clearly demonstrating growing collector interest in this exciting new category.
The June sale will feature an impressive selection of rare Casascius and Lealana coins from the classic period from 2011 to 2014, as well as more recent collector favorites from series such as BTCC, 1HoDLCLUB, Satori and Polymerbit. The sale will kick off with the highly historic BitBills 1 Bitcoin card, a direct precursor to the coin format soon popularized by Casascius and other series, followed by treasures such as a Casascius 5 Bitcoin, a silver and brass Casascius 1 Bitcoin, a 0.1 Bitcoin, 0.25 Bitcoin, 0.5 Bitcoin and a set of four original silver Lealana coins including the legendary “Gold B” 1 Bitcoin.
The June sale will also mark the live auction debut of a number of significant crypto assets, including the 2023 Caribbean Treasures 0.01 Bitcoin in White Gold, 1HoDLCLUB giant silver ingots including a 2 oz “Moon Pass” 0.0021 Bitcoin Bar and a 5 oz “Genesis” 0.021 Bitcoin Bar, the low mintage 2013 SerpCoin 0.05 Bitcoin, and the Polymerbit series of rare banknotes including the Uncut Sheet of Sample Note from the MIF Maastricht Fair.
Following its June crypto auction, Stack’s Bowers Galleries will be hosting another crypto sale in August, headlined by an incredible Casascius 25 Bitcoin acquired directly from Mike Caldwell. Selected lots from the August sale will be previewed at the Nashville Bitcoin Conference at the end of July.
The company is accepting cryptocurrency consignments for its November and January Cryptocurrency Sales and are filling up quickly.
