After completely changing the music industry, Daniel Ek is about to make waves in the healthcare technology space.
In his LinkedIn profile, Ek is listed as the co-founder of Neko Health, a company that specializes in providing body scans powered by artificial intelligence.
AI technology is specialized for non-invasive scanning
Hjalmar Nilssonne and Ek founded the company with the aim of developing a medical system that can help individuals maintain their health through early detection and preventive measures.
With the help of AI, brand new healthcare startup Neko Health can accurately scan a person’s body and provide results in minutes, The Verge reports.
Neline Health claimed to have spent four years on extensive research and product development with the aim of keeping people healthy through early detection and preventive measures.
According to the company’s website, the company reportedly offers a non-invasive 360-degree full-body scanner that can detect and measure the progression of birthmarks, rashes, and age spots.
Other scanners may also be used to detect abnormalities in the body’s pulse, blood pressure, and heart rate, according to Techdator.
The company’s scanner is a cylindrical body scanner with over 70 sensors that can quickly identify birthmarks, pulse, blood pressure, and more.
The “self-learning AI-equipped system” analyzes the data collected and explains the results to doctors and patients.
Results are sent to clients at the time of booking, and they can also see and follow results in the accompanying app.
“Early detection and prevention of serious diseases means that both the human suffering and the high societal costs associated with serious diseases can be avoided,” Nilssonne points out.

Ek’s foray into healthcare has long been rumored
Rumors about the company have been circulating since November, and Ek has previously talked about entering the healthcare industry.
In fact, in 2013, it was reported that Ek spends his free time pondering ways to improve the health care system, The Verge writes.
Feline Health looks interesting, but it’s too early to say what impact it will have on the healthcare field.
Similar technology has appeared before, with researchers developing an AI technique that can scan the retina to predict heart disease risk.
It’s important to note that this project also collaborates with Facebook and New York University to use it to speed up MRI scans.
The potential of this technology is exciting, and Neko Health is using it on a larger, more accessible scale.
The startup claims that its first health center in Stockholm, Sweden, will offer cat body scans and complete health analyzes to people with skin and heart conditions.
HJN Sverige, now known as Neo Health, was founded by Ek and Nilsonne in 2018, according to Zee Business.
Since then, the company has raised more than $31 million in funding, most of it from Ek and his moonshot investment company Prima Materia.
