Slitterhead preorders open on day one: get a free artbook and soundtrack

The long-awaited release date for Slitterhead has finally been finalized. The survival horror game will be coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on November 8th. If you want to get your hands on it sooner, it’s available to pre-order now. At the moment, you can only pre-order the PS5 version on Amazon, but if you do pre-order, you’ll get a few physical collectibles. Plus, unlike many current-gen games, Slitterhead is only $60. We’ll update this article as soon as the pre-order listings are available.

Slitterhead is the latest game from Silent Hill series creator Keiichiro Toyama and the first title from his new development company, Bokeh Game Studio. Slitterhead was first announced in 2021 and has since become one of the most anticipated upcoming horror games, despite being largely unknown due to the development team’s background.

Slitterhead has a Day 1 physical edition that comes with some cool bonus content: the official soundtrack on CD, a 100+ page art book, a sticker sheet, and a custom box. The Day 1 edition is available while supplies last. Editions like this with free content often sell out before launch, so if you’re interested in Slitterhead, we recommend pre-ordering it.

It’s important to note that Amazon currently has the wrong release date listed for Slitterhead: Amazon lists Slitterhead as being available on August 11th, but it won’t be available until November 8th. We’re waiting for other major retailers to open up pre-orders for the physical version.

Wishlist the digital version of the game on Steam, PSN, or the Xbox Store. It’s unclear at this time whether the digital version will come with any bonuses.

Fans finally got a taste of the gameplay, thanks to a new Slitterhead trailer that debuted at Summer Game Fest, which sees players using a combination of melee weapons, guns, and supernatural powers to battle grotesque monsters roaming the neon-lit city streets. While the fast-paced, dodge-and-parry focused combat is certainly a departure from what Toyama took in his Silent Hill games, the dark tone and creepy creature designs make it downright terrifying.

There’s still a lot we don’t know about Slitterhead, but with launch only a few months away, fans don’t have to wait any longer.
