Rapper Sexy Redd was arrested at Newark Liberty International Airport over the weekend after an altercation involving fans and security.
Footage of the brawl shared by TMZ shows Sexy swinging a long pole-like stand while people around him start punching each other. Multiple people were involved in the brawl, but Sexy was identified by his red bonnet and matching shoes.
The altercation happened in front of Gate C82 at Newark Airport. Sexy did not strike anyone with the stick and was only caught on camera for a split second. During the chaotic and heated moment, the St. Louis native fell to the ground and dropped the stick. She then quickly picked up her bag and got up, disappearing from the camera’s view.

There is no confirmed information about what sparked the incident or who was involved. The musician and mother of two was reportedly taken to jail on the morning of June 8. The Port Authority reportedly claimed Sexy was arrested for disturbing the peace. Several others were also reportedly charged with assault, but all injuries sustained were minor.
Ironically, the “Pound Town” rapper’s involvement in this violent incident came before she hosted the WWE NXT Battleground Championship in Las Vegas on June 9. Onstage, the musician celebrated with NXT champion Trik Williams, who had defeated Ethan Page in the night’s main event, as the sexy, cheering crowd excitedly chanted “Got that Trik” as the victorious fighter soaked in his moment of glory.

Sexy didn’t offer a clear explanation for the altercation or why it started. Instead, the 26-year-old rapper, born Janay Niella Wah, posted a video telling her followers she was “just taking a break.”
Sexy wrote, “To the people I had an argument with at the airport, please send me a DM. [your] phone. “
