Provides free health resources and city services to residents
Illinois State Senator Mattie Hunter (3rd District) is partnering with the Institute for Positive Living, Illinois Institute of Technology, Ada S. McKinley and TASC to host one of the largest health fairs in the city.Number The annual Family Health & Fitness Fair will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Illinois Institute of Technology Campus 33.rd and State Street in Chicago.
Back to school is just around the corner, and parents can get a head start with these free services: St. Bernard Mobile Health Unit will provide free school health exams. The Illinois Eye Institute and Illinois College of Optometry will provide vision exams, back to school haircuts by Kenny Williams Dudley Beauty College, massages, meals and entertainment. And if it’s too hot, air-conditioned buses are available. To receive free medical care, children must be accompanied by a parent and bring immunization records.
Families and children can also take advantage of a range of services provided free of charge or at a nominal cost.

The ever-popular and world-famous Jesse White Tumblers will perform an acrobatic show, showcasing their incredible athletic ability with flips, jumps and a unique tumbling style, while Fre2Dance Line Dancers will perform and give lessons in various styles of the ever-popular line dance.
Not to be missed are a variety of fun activities for kids, including bounce houses, a bike raffle, outdoor games, a gift card raffle, book bags and school supplies.
