River Glen in St. Charles, a senior living community managed by Jaybird Senior Living, is pleased to announce a new partnership with Clarity Mental Health to prioritize mental health in senior living. This collaboration will provide specialized care to ensure the mental health needs of River Glen residents are met.
“At River Glen, we are dedicated to caring for our residents in every way possible,” says Healthcare Coordinator Jena Villarreal. “We want to keep them healthy and happy, but that means looking after their mental health as well. Our aim is to give them the support they need here at River Glen. and avoid unnecessary hospital visits.”
CLARITY, brought to you by In Home Medical Group (IHMG), has a team of experienced nurses and board-certified psychiatrists with a particular focus on the mental health needs of older adults. Specialists provide individualized care tailored to each resident’s individual situation.
One of CLARITY’s nurses, Anna August NP-C, will be at River Glen every Wednesday going forward. Leveraging her expertise in addressing dementia-related issues and managing medications, Anna will work closely with River Glen’s nursing staff to ensure each resident receives appropriate attention. That’s what I’m trying to do.
But this partnership is not just about access to medicines. CLARITY also offers counseling services led by his Aldolfo Oropeza, LCSW. These one-on-one sessions of his provide residents with a safe space to talk about whatever is on their minds, whether it’s grief, anxiety, or simply adjusting to life changes.
