An inquiry committee was constituted on April 29 and its preliminary report found that the allegations against Dr Pawar contained truth.
Dr Pawar was charged with financial misconduct, mental and sexual harassment. District Health Officer, PuneHe has allegedly flouted provisions of the Maharashtra Public Servants Act, 1979 (Section 3) and other provisions.
The committee recommended a detailed investigation, based on which the state health department issued a stay order, a copy of which was sent to the Pune Municipal Corporation.
