Alan Wake 2 trailer
What is Alan Wake 2?
Alan Wake 2 is the well-received sequel to Alan Wake. Since its release last October, it has garnered numerous accolades and appeared on many 2023 end-of-year lists (it even came runner-up on our 2023 Game of the Year list). In our Alan Wake 2 review, we gave the game a 9/10 and said, “It delivers the most daring and mind-bending survival horror storyline second only to Silent Hill 2, with consistently flawless art direction and audio design, reinvigorating the series’ signature light-based shooting as if you’d locked and loaded a new energizer pack.”
The first DLC expansion, recently released, also received high praise from us: in our review of the Alan Wake II: Night Springs DLC, we called the expansion “a compact collection of standalone stories that range from fun and violent gunfights to tense survival horror, ultimately allowing you to settle in and enjoy the kind of utter insanity that makes Remedy’s multiverse of insanity so compelling to explore.”
