NAHMIAS ensures that its Los Angeles heritage is prominent in every collection, but the label’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection may be its most California-inspired yet. In an authentically West Coast-style collection titled “Physical Education,” Doni Nahmias capitalized on the clash of workwear and sportswear styles, carefully combining and juxtaposing the two aesthetics across a range of faithful garments.
The brand held its show at Pan Pacific Park in Los Angeles, and MGK provided the perfect soundtrack to the edgy summer presentation as models stomped across the gym floor.
NAHMIAS has reimagined workwear with this edgy ethos in mind, selling printed and pleated suits, patterned pants and tailored jackets, one of which reads, “Miracle Youth Detention Center.”
According to an official statement from the brand, Nahmias drew inspiration for the design from his childhood struggles,[transform his] Transforming the memories of one’s youth into a vivid story of evolution and perseverance.”
The athletic aesthetic is apparent in classic oversized jerseys, varsity jackets and other sports-style shorts, while knitwear, graphic tees and baggy denim round out the collection.
The SS25 show also saw the runway debut of NAHMIAS’ latest sneaker, the Ollies, which will be unveiled as part of the label’s Summerland Ranch FW24 collection and is set to be released in Fall 2024.
But more notably, the collection represented the company’s first foray into eyewear.
