Mount Pleasant Public Schools expands mental health care services to students, staff and families through new partnership with Care Solace, an organization that coordinates mental health and substance abuse support for individuals within the school system doing.
“At MPPS, we are committed to supporting our students, staff, and families during this difficult time,” said MPPS Superintendent Jennifer Verleger. “Our partnership with Care Solace will continue to build on mental health and emotional support programs and services in and out of school. We want to remind our community members that they are not alone and that all students, We want our staff and families to know that support is available to them 24/7, 365 days a year.”
Care Solace identifies local mental health providers and substance abuse services based on individual preferences. Our services are free to individuals and families with or without insurance. Care Solace support is always available by calling 888-515-0595. Online access is also available at https://caresolace.com/site/mpps. Individuals will be connected to a health care provider who accepts all health insurance, including Medicaid and Medicare, and can offer sliding scale options for those without insurance.
Multilingual support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All personal information is kept completely confidential and services are available both in-person and virtually.
A dedicated care companion will support you every step of the way, from exploring options to securing appointments and following up. Individuals can also search anonymously to be matched against an extensive list of health care providers online or contact an MPPS health care professional to submit a referral on their behalf.

Castruita said. “Care Solace exists to quell the confusion surrounding mental health crises, providing a supportive and caring framework to help individuals regain control of their lives.”
The partnership between MPPS and Care Solace is made possible through state grant support through the end of the 2023-2024 school year.
