The Bahamas Police Chicago Woman Disappears The child, named Taylor Casey, was last seen a week ago while attending a month-long yoga retreat, according to family members.
“Oh man, I miss Taylor. I don’t think he should ever be gone,” Casey’s mother, Collette Seymour, told CBS News in an interview.
Seymour said she received an unsettling phone call last week from retreat organizers asking if she had heard from her 41-year-old daughter.
“I heard from Taylor on Tuesday. She sent me a picture of Taylor in the Atlantic Ocean for the last time. She wrote, ‘Mum, I miss you. I miss you. Look, I’m on the beach.'”
The organization hosting the retreat, Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat Bahamas, told CBS News that it had notified the US Embassy and Cayce’s family after she failed to show up for her morning class on June 20.
“The story we’re hearing isn’t Taylor’s. We need more information,” said Casey’s friend, Emily Williams.

of Royal Bahamas Police confirms Casey was last seen on June 19 at a retreat near Paradise Island in Nassau.
Seymour and Williams are seeking clarification as there are many unknowns about Casey’s phone, including how it ended up at the bottom of the ocean.
“We need to know where Taylor is,” Williams said. “We need to know what happened, we need to know the details.”

Casey’s disappearance came at a time when the Bahamas was under a State Department travel advisory in January due to an increase in crime.
“Violent crimes, including theft, armed robbery, and sexual assault, occur in both tourist and non-tourist locations. People staying in short-term vacation rental properties without private security services should exercise caution,” the State Department said on its website.
In a Facebook post, the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat in the Bahamas said: “Anyone with information regarding Casey’s whereabouts should contact local police immediately. The ashram is working with authorities as they investigate and your assistance would be greatly appreciated.”
