HYDERABAD: Modern warfare is no longer solely a physical domain but a dynamic and constantly evolving domain increasingly influenced by complex data networks and advanced cyber technologies, Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhary said on Saturday.
Chaudhary was speaking at the joint graduation ceremony of the 213th Officer Course of the Air Force Academy (AFA), Dundigal. Chaudhary also said that tomorrow’s conflicts cannot be fought with yesterday’s mindset.
“Modern warfare is dynamic and constantly evolving. It’s no longer just the physical domain; it’s increasingly influenced by complex data networks and advanced cyber technologies. As leaders, you must adapt, innovate and effectively leverage technology to win wars,” the Air Force general said.
He further stated that professionalism, proactiveness and initiative are the three most desirable qualities in a leader, but at the same time, leaders who think are also necessary.
“As you embark on this extraordinary journey, be guided by the Indian Air Force’s core values of Mission, Integrity and Excellence,” he advised the cadets.
During the ceremony, ‘wings’ were presented to the aviation cadets, officers of the Indian Navy, Indian Coast Guard and officers of friendly countries who successfully completed their flight training.
