Middle Park Health is more than just a medical facility. Middle Park Medical Foundation’s mission is to promote quality care and positively impact the community through donations, volunteerism, scholarships and other philanthropy.
The Foundation has achieved success over the past several years through scholarship programs, employee assistance funds, equipment donation programs, and capital campaigns for Middle Park Health employees and local high school students.
“After our successful fundraising efforts over the past few years, we are finally able to give back in an impactful way,” Middle Park Medical Foundation Executive Director Andy Lazavich said in a press release.
The Foundation’s 2023 giving includes:
- Electrocardiogram, also known as EKG, affects 600 patients annually
- nitrous oxide machine
- Laboratory blood analyzer
- New lead apron for the operations team
- Renovation of the Kremmling Extended Care Unit, which houses 8 residents and sees more than 70 patients per year.
- Arm hand bike and cabinet modification for Granby Rehabilitation Team
- new wound care chair
- New art on Granby campus
- Upgrades and additional weight room paid for by Middle Park Health and Wellness Center.
- Scholarships supporting 13 local families
- Five families receiving support through the Employee Assistance Fund
“We are extremely proud and excited to be contributing to improving the health capacity of our communities in 2023. We are on an upward trajectory with major philanthropic goals in the coming years. This is still in the early stages of the foundation, as this includes supporting the completion of the MPH Wellness Center Gym for community use and construction of the Middle Park Health Fraser Campus,” Lazavic said. In 2020, Middle Park Healthcare Foundation was tasked with growing the foundation beyond its annual celebration called BASH. Lazavic, who has served as the foundation’s executive director since 2020, leads efforts to increase fundraising each year and expand into new areas of philanthropy with the help of local and national donors and sponsors.
“We would like to thank our generous donors and sponsors, our Foundation Board, Middle Park Health, and our entire community for putting us in such a great position to strengthen the health and wellness of all of us. I think so,” Lazavic said.
