Michael Strahan’s daughter Isabella Strahan has opened up about her battle with brain cancer.
Strahan and Isabella first revealed their cancer diagnosis on “Good Morning America” with host Robin Roberts in January.
In a YouTube video blog posted Friday, the 19-year-old model chronicled the latest chapter in her health battle. “Everything hurts,” Isabella said as she pressed ice to her head while recovering from her chemotherapy at home. She was discharged from the hospital for the first time in a month.
“I feel like I’m having a heart attack,” she said, sitting on the couch.

‘The Longest Journey’: Isabella chronicles her battle with brain cancer
Isabella called chemotherapy her “longest journey” and opened up about her health concerns.
“I think it’s just stressing me out because I feel like so many things can go wrong,” Isabella said. “Oh, my heart hurts. That could mean I’m having a heart attack or my eyes are tired. What if my eyes stop working?”
In another YouTube vlog earlier this month, Isabella shared the “less fun” parts of her health journey before starting chemotherapy for her cancer.
“Today we’re going to have a port installed, a device that will be placed on your chest to give you chemotherapy, draw blood and do fun things,” Isabella said, adding, “I’m not excited.”
Isabella shared that doctors placed a chemotherapy port in her chest. This allows medical teams to draw blood and administer treatments without having to continually stick needles. Her mother, Jean Mugli, and her aunt accompanied her during her treatment, and Isabella took a short break to play a game of cards while waiting for her kidney test.
“I don’t think it’s my favorite,” she said as she received an IV drip.
“I had an IV to treat my kidney…it wasn’t fun at all. Healing from port surgery…it wasn’t fun at all. I have wires in my chest now. They put radioactive dye in my body. , and then we just have to draw blood,’ then an EKG, then another blood draw, then an MRI,” she said of the “busy day” ahead.

During an appearance on “GMA” with her father, Michael Strahan, and Roberts, Isabella’s twin sister Sophia encouraged her to undergo treatment, and it was revealed that she underwent an MRI scan in October and was diagnosed.
The day before her 19th birthday, she underwent surgery to remove a tumor slightly larger than a golf ball.
Strahan made headlines for taking a three-week break from hosting duties from late October to early November. An ABC spokesperson told USA TODAY in a statement at the time that the reason for her leave was due to “personal family matters.” Details about his absence were not announced until he appeared on “GMA” with Isabella.
