New York (hint): GOPIO Manhattan and Emmy-nominated filmmaker and Happy Life Yoga speaker Tirlok Malik in association with Indian Panorama and Indian American Forum hosted an interactive and informative session featuring renowned experts and speakers to mark International Day of Yoga 2024 on June 22.
The always-energetic Malik emphasised the importance of loving yourself, saying, “If you love yourself, then it’s your responsibility to look after your own happiness and health.”
There was lots of laughter among the participants as they did some practical exercises and chair yoga.
The session saw a large number of participants logging in from New York, other parts of the US, India, and across the world.

In his address as the Guest of Honour, he emphasised that Yoga is a holistic system that connects the mind, body and spirit. He congratulated GOPIO and Tirulok Malik for organising such an event which was open to all.
Session host Malik, who is hosting the event for the fourth year, asked the speakers to share the following:
Q: There are difficulties and hardships in life, how do we overcome them?
Do you want to laugh at life? What is your mantra? He asked them.
