With Vrinda Bhatt Shiboham, Celebrity fitness trainer couple, Chlorine 2898 Actor Amitabh Bachchan. Vrinda, who has been mentoring the Big B for over 24 years, spoke about his journey to staying fit and what she has learnt from him.
“His mentality is, ‘If I know something is good for me, I just do it.’ And it’s not about comfort or ‘I don’t have time.’ People say they don’t have time to exercise, but if Mr. Bachchan can make the time… exercise“… I think we can all do it. So his basic mindset is, ‘I’m going to do this because it’s good for me and it’s what I have to do,'” she said. People of Bombay.
SibohamCurrently training with the senior Bachchan, the actor added that there are times when he is too busy to train or when he wants to work out late at night. “But health-wise, I know that it’s not the ideal time for anyone to train. The later you train, the more your body will have (a little) more energy and your sleep patterns will be disrupted. So, sometimes I have to tell him that it’s not the ideal time to train, and then he makes sure to remove the time (from his schedule). I know that staying active is very important for him.” schedule “If you follow the way he trains and do things, other people can do it too. If you want to make it a priority, you can always do it.”
“Where there’s a will, there’s a way”, stressed the old adage, as Vrinda conducted a breathing exercise session with an 81-year-old woman. “We do pranayama, starting with basic breathing exercises and then moving on to yogic stretches.”
Vrinda further said that she learnt “discipline and punctuality” from the superstar. “The mindset. I think he is the father of it. I still remember that we used to start training at 6am. He was never late. If I was late, he would tell me, ‘You are minutes late’. So, I learnt the value of time, respecting time from him,” Vrinda confessed.
Tips for making working out a part of your daily routine
* Training Schedule Pick one that aligns with your daily routine. “Consistency is key, so choose a time that you can commit to regularly. Having a set routine makes it easier to fit exercise into your lifestyle and makes you less likely to skip your workouts,” says fitness trainer Garima Goyal.
*Find an exercise that you truly enjoy. “Doing something you love, whether it’s cycling, yoga, swimming or a team sport, will make exercise a fun experience. If you enjoy it, you’re more likely to stick to your routine,” says Goyal.
*Share your fitness goals with someone who can give you support and encouragement. “It can be a friend, family member, or workout buddy — an accountability partner can motivate you, share the journey with you, and celebrate your successes together, making the process more rewarding,” says Goyal.
*When you achieve your goals, give yourself a reward. “Pamper yourself with a healthy meal, a relaxing day, or some new workout gear. Celebrating your achievements reinforces the positive aspects of your fitness journey and makes you more likely to stick with it,” says Goyal.
