“A New Era of Justice: Our Bodies, Our Voices, Our Freedoms”

Los Angeles, February 16, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — Black Women for Wellness, a pioneering nonprofit organization dedicated to the health and well-being of Black women and girls, is pleased to announce its 25th Annual Meeting. Reproductive Justice Conference.The conference will be held on the following days August 15, 2024in, california fund in Los Angeles, California” with the theme,A new era of justice: our bodies, our voices, our freedoms. ”

Black Women For Wellness is committed to the health and well-being of Black women and girls through health education, empowerment, and advocacy.

This annual event brings together a diverse group of activists, medical professionals, and community members and provides a platform for empowerment, education, and advocacy. Black Women for Wellness reproductive justice movementbegan 30 years ago, and attendees can expect engaging workshops, thought-provoking panel discussions, and insights from keynote speakers on important topics such as maternal health, reproductive rights, and environmental justice.

In line with this year’s theme, the conference aims to usher in a new era by addressing historical trauma, preserving the present, and envisioning a liberated future for Black women and girls. The goal is to foster a space where participants can learn, collaborate, share resources, and create positive change within their communities.

The conference will also include discussions on:

  • The collaborative role of black men and women in advocating for reproductive justice
  • Highlights the importance of Roe v. Wade for Black women and the need to understand and address their unique challenges within a broader reproductive justice framework
  • Diverse dimensions of reproductive justice beyond conversations focused solely on abortion

Keynote speakers will be prominent activists and experts in reproductive justice, social justice, health, and civic engagement who will share their experiences and knowledge to inspire and motivate attendees. The conference will also offer networking opportunities, professional development, and skill-building sessions.
