The German coach already has three players in his “staff”
President Joan Laporta has since made it clear that the club is serious about improving the fitness of its staff. Rumours are circulating about signing new members of the German squad. And after FCBN reported last week that Holger Broich was one of the leading candidates to take over FC Barcelona’s training, this Tuesday ‘BE’ reported that the company is in the process of signing two Spanish specialists to take on the role.
According to the information, the Barcelona team is close to completing a deal with training coach Pepe Conde, who is currently at Sevilla. And he will be one of just two players the club considers a definite quality addition to the skill set of his “staff”. Rafael Maldonado, who currently plays for Real Sociedad, is also very close to Barca.
Barça have confidence in coach Hansi Flick’s new squad
The information suggests that Conde, like Maldonado, is also close to joining Barça, having been recommended by physical coach Julio Tous. The new assistant in charge of training the Catalan national team has recommended signing both coaches, both of whom have experience with clubs and first-team teams and are active with the Spanish national team.
It is also important to highlight that Barça have decided to be without four physiotherapists: Carlos Nogueira, Isaac Serrano, Edu Martínez and Jaume Munir are not yet taking part in the recovery work of the Barça players. Coach Hansi Flick is expected to take on a job that is largely unknown within the squad and has stressed he will continue to train the goalkeeper for at least another season.
