kevin halliganowner of natural body health and wellness, says his clients call his center Ann Arbor’s best-kept secret. But with an average of 50 to 80 clients per day, it’s safe to say the secret is out.
Natural Body Health & Wellness is a demonstration facility for natural whole body health equipment and therapies. For a fee, clients can use the equipment as many times as they like on a drop-in or contract basis.
The center is best known for its Migun Thermal Massage Bed, a device that uses heat and massage to improve physical ailments.
Harrigan explains that he first came to own this facility because he was a loyal Migun user. Harrigan started seeing a chiropractor three times a week after sustaining an injury while working on a home construction project. He said his final career change was a big step for him after his 15-year career in sales engineering.
“My sister was telling me about Migun. I had never heard of anything like that,” Harrigan explains.he looked for a facility Ypsilanti. “I realized the benefits and my need for chiropractic care decreased.”

Harrigan ultimately purchased the facility after the owners decided to move out of state. He moved the facility to 500 Eisenhower Parkway in Ann Arbor, and the business was successful until 2008, when things took a turn for the worse.
“We saw a dramatic change in October 2008 when the economy started to slow down,” he says. “Sales of an average of 10 units a month have come to a decisive halt.”
He decided to add more products to the center for customers to use. Harrigan says his business philosophy follows the Korean model, where customers can use the equipment for free or pay a small fee and are not forced to buy.
“We survived. I feel lucky,” Harrigan says.
According to a press release, Natural Body Health & Wellness has added a number of new technologies, including an infrared sauna, a $16,000 range of motion cross-trainer, and a sonic vibration therapy system.
Although the device sounds ultra-modern, Harrigan says the research and science behind it is decades old. Harrigan said items such as saunas and vibration systems are becoming popular with some doctors and sports professionals, but he is happy to have these items available to customers and the general public. Ta.
The addition of equipment means Harrigan needs a larger facility, which he moved into in January, but equipment sales are still slow, he said.
The new location, at 361 W. Eisenhower, fits into the center’s vision, administrators said. Kyle SchlabowskiHe said the new facility is located a short distance from the old location. Whole Foods Market.
“We had 124 new customers in the first four weeks after the move,” says Schlabowske.
The shop is located in a building that also houses a massage therapist and chiropractic office. The center has bamboo floors, warmly glowing salt lamps, and expandable space.
“The atmosphere is better, more relaxed, more calm,” Shrabowske said.
Room for growth is also important to Harrigan. “My goal is to create a complete wellness center and strengthen our business.”
He eventually wants to add space for yoga, personal training, a salt spa and even a raw food bar.
