Black Stars captain Andre Ayew has been undergoing rigorous training in Ghana with renowned coach Nuru Yakubu as he aims to be in top condition ahead of the new season.
The 34-year-old is currently without a club after his contract with French club Le Havre expired this month.
Ayew will have to find a club before the start of the 2024/25 football season.
The former Swansea City and West Ham United star is without a club and has been training diligently at Legon Nania Park under the guidance of manager Nur Yakub, who plays for Maltese club Swieqi United.
The Ghana international is currently in transfer negotiations with clubs during the ongoing transfer window whilst also working to maintain his fitness.
Nur Yakubu, a CAF Licence B and UEFA C trainer, has coached most of Ghana’s professional footballers during the summer and winter breaks.
Apart from Andre Ayew, other top players including Samuel Sarfo, Alhassan Wakaso, Mubarak Wakaso, Bernard Arthur and Afriyi Acquah have been involved in numerous training sessions with the respected tactician with the support of physical trainer Enock Daitei Jordan and Legon Cities assistant coach Nana Kwadwo Acheapong.
Nur Yakubu, a youth soccer development specialist, previously worked with Division Two clubs Madina Republicans and Montreal FC.
He played a major role in the development of the likes of Alexander Agyakhwah, Dominic Nsobira and Osman Bukari at Selangor Football Club in Malaysia.
Nur Yakubu previously helped Accra Lions achieve promotion from the First Division to the Ghana Premier League.
