The NASCAR Cup Series world will shift its focus to Georgia on Sunday as the 2024 season moves from Daytona International Speedway to the Ambetter Health 400 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
The Cup Series race marks the end of a three-game series in Hampton, Georgia. The Craftsman Truck Series kicked off the weekend with his Fr8 208 on Saturday, followed by his RAPTOR King of Tough 250 in the Xfinity Series.
William Byron enters the race looking to accomplish the feat that Matt Kenseth did in 2009, winning the first two races of the regular season. Byron took the win over Hendrick Motorsports teammate Alex Bowman, but the Daytona 500 ended with a caution as the pack took the white flag.

Byron celebrated his victory by going to the top of the Empire State Building earlier this week.
He led the No. 24 Chevrolet to victory lane at the Quaker State 400 race in Atlanta last July. Byron has won seven of the past 37 regular season games. All eyes of the racing world will be on him Sunday afternoon.
There will be little pressure on Byron, who has the inside track for the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs, but the spotlight will be on several drivers who finished late in the Daytona race.
At Daytona, 10 drivers did not finish the race due to accidents, including Harrison Burton, Austin Dillon, Joey Logano, and defending NASCAR champion Ryan Blaney. Logano won the Ambetter Health 400 last March.

With many drivers competing for positions early on, it will be important to avoid accidents at some of the smaller tracks on the schedule over the next few weeks.
