As announced during the Summer Game Fest opening showcase, Alan Wake 2 will finally be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X later this year. The new physical editions will include an $80 Deluxe Edition published by Epic Games, October 22nd–a year after the game’s original release–and a $200 collector’s edition will be released by Limited Run Games in December. Pre-orders for both versions are being accepted now at Amazon, Best Buy, and GameStop.
Though it’s more expensive than the standard digital edition that was released last year, both physical versions include a ton of extra content on top of the base game. Let’s take a look at everything included in the Alan Wake 2 Deluxe and Collector’s Edition and where you can pre-order them.
$80
Alan Wake 2: Deluxe Edition includes a physical copy of the base game for PS5 or Xbox Series X, housed in the standard game case but featuring reversible cover sleeve artwork. You also get the Alan Wake 2 Expansion Pass, which includes The Lake House DLC pack and the new Night Springs story DLC, a digital copy of Alan Wake Remastered, and the Digital Deluxe Edition Stuff Pack, which includes the following:
- Saga’s Nordic Shotgun Skin
- Parliament Shotgun Skin for Aran
- Saga’s Crimson Windbreaker
- Alan’s Celebrity Suits
- Saga lantern charm
Alan Wake 2: Deluxe Edition will be available on October 22 for $80. Pre-orders for the PS5 and Xbox Series X are available now from Amazon, Best Buy, and GameStop.
$200
The Alan Wake 2 Collector’s Edition, from Limited Run Games, comes with the base game and all the bonus content from the Deluxe Edition, plus physical collectibles including a replica Alan Wake Angel Lamp, an Ocean View Hotel Room 665 keychain and key, a Coffee World pin set, an artbook, and a special Collector’s Edition box.
Alan Wake 2: Collector’s Edition is expected to be released sometime in December, though a specific date has yet to be confirmed. Pre-orders will be available for a limited time only, from June 8th to June 21st.
In addition to these new physical editions, developer Remedy Games also announced a new premium DLC story expansion, Alan Wake 2: Night Springs, which adds three new chapters to the game and includes new playable characters, as well as a new free photo mode for the base game. The Alan Wake 2: Night Springs expansion and photo mode launched on June 8. The Night Springs DLC is included in the upcoming physical release, but those who already own the digital version of the game can access it through the $20 Alan Wake II Season Pass.
