To celebrate B Corp Month this March, award-winning B-Corp certified polar expedition company AE Expeditions (part of Aurora Expeditions) is hosting agents and operators for a day of fun wellness walks and provided an opportunity to learn more about their activities. Commitment to sustainability.
On March 5th, 17 people from the travel industry joined the AE Expeditions team to get out and learn more about our award-winning polar expeditions, recent B Corp certification, partnership with Approach Guides, and get a teaser of new services. I got it. The third ship is scheduled to be launched in 2025.
Participating agents and operators include The Ultimate Travel Company, Travel Counselor and Explore! Worldwide, Discover the World, ATAS, Natural World Safaris, Worldwide Wildlife, Mandi Adventures, Exus Travel, Expedition Cruise Network (ECN), Southern Cross Travel, Polar Routes.
The event was held at Albury Vineyards, a small family run organic vineyard in the beautiful Surrey Hills. After a welcome drink, guests enjoyed a two-hour nature walk before enjoying a delicious Indian tiffin lunch at Mandira’s Kitchen with Albury Vineyard fizz. In the afternoon, there was a willow making workshop by Hedges & Hurdles, where everyone was able to make bird feeders and birdhouses to take home.
Katie Harber, Senior Business Development Manager at AE Expeditions commented: “We had a really successful and fun day. It was great to see so many agents participating and coming out and learning more about AE Expeditions and our focus on sustainability. It was great. We specifically chose small, family-run businesses that resonate with our ethos to support this day. We also chose all of our businesses to minimize our impact on the environment. We encouraged our guests to come by train or car share.”
All guests were given a sustainable gift to take home. They were tin travel mugs made by a small business called Stubbs Mugs and ethically sourced ship-shaped chocolates from AE Expeditions made by a small business called The Canny Chocolate Company.
