The actor confirmed the decision to continue filming at Los Angeles International Airport on Monday. Shore noted that Simmons’ death isn’t a problem for the biopic — rather, the millions of dollars it would take to get the project off the ground could delay its release.

The comedian revealed that he is still in negotiations with Warner Bros. parent company, the Wolper Organization, to shell out between $5 million and $10 million for the biopic, adding that he would be open to deferring payment if it meant the movie was a success.

The comedian, who will play Simmons in an upcoming biopic, hit a rocky patch in January when Shore was named in a lawsuit filed by two victims who claimed he left them with “severe injuries” during an assault at the Comedy Store.

According to The Blast, the father-daughter duo explained that the incident happened in November 2022 when a Shore security guard violently grabbed and attacked Sean Kehoe.

Kehoe alleged that Shore encouraged the attack and that his daughter, Kira Lynn Potts, suffered emotional distress from witnessing her father’s attack.

The couple did not state what caused the attack in their lawsuit, but they sought damages, payment of their attorneys’ fees and court costs, and restitution for all losses they suffered as a result of the attack.

Fans are sure to be excited to see Shore’s performance as the beloved fitness guru in the upcoming biopic.
