For clients looking for something more personal than an open gym and less expensive than a personal trainer, the newly opened Alloy Personal Training is ready to fill that gap.
Alloy Personal Training has been around for 30 years, but began franchising about three years ago, with its newest location opening at 16 Village Lane in St. Louis. The business also has locations across the United States, including multiple locations in Houston, Austin, and Dallas-Fort Worth.
What makes Alloy Personal Training unique is our approach to fitness, with a mission to help people live better, healthier lives. Sessions are held in an intimate group setting with a maximum of 6 people per trainer.
“It’s individualized based on the customer’s needs, including injury, ability, and coping style,” owner Mike Thompson said. “Personalizing his training into smaller groups means lower prices per session, and more flexibility as he can include more people than just one person in an hourly session. Masu.”
This personalization allows trainers to help clients achieve personal goals such as:
- weight loss
- avoid future illness
- stay healthy
- prepare for a big event
The benefit of being part of a small group allows staff to know the ins and outs of their clients while training in a controlled environment. Trainers will not perform strength-based exercises beyond the client’s capabilities. Clients also feel a warmer welcome when they come to the gym, as they can develop more personal relationships in a small group environment.
“This is a place where if someone walks in the door, we can hear their name within seconds, because we know who they are. We’re always focused on them,” Thompson said.
For first-time clients, Alloy Personal Training begins with a Starting Point session. During his hour-long one-on-one sessions, clients thoroughly examine their goals to get to the root of their core goals. Clients receive a functional movement assessment as well as a body composition assessment. Finally, clients do mini-workouts to see how their bodies move and what their abilities are like.
Clients complete an updated body composition assessment every 30 days to see how they are achieving their goals.
“When you start working out, you won’t immediately see a change on the scale or in the mirror. It’s different for everyone,” Thompson said. “Some people can’t see anything for a month, others can’t see anything for six months. But if you redo your body composition, you’ll see changes because you know what’s going on inside your body. .”
