CHICAGO — A Chicago woman has gone missing while on a yoga retreat in the Bahamas, family and authorities said.

Her family said she was in the Bahamas to attend the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat and that she had been practicing yoga for 15 years and was described as active and loving.
“We believe Taylor is in danger because she wanted to share her yoga retreat experiences with others when she returned home,” her mother, Colette Seymour, said in a family news release. “We would never have Taylor disappear like this.”
Semyol was scheduled to visit Paradise Island and Nassau to work with authorities, according to a news release.
In a prepared statement, the yoga retreat said it had requested police to investigate and had contacted the U.S. Embassy and Casey’s family after Casey failed to attend her morning class on June 20 after last being seen at the retreat late the previous night.
“The ashram asks that anyone with information about Ms. Cayce contact local police,” the statement said, noting that Ms. Cayce had been attending a certification retreat. “In the meantime, we will cooperate with authorities as they investigate.”
Police described Casey as slender with light brown skin. Family members said she was 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighed 145 pounds, had brown eyes and naturally brown hair, which she often wore covered with a hood.
“We are deeply concerned about Taylor’s safety and well-being,” Seymour said in a news release. “We love Taylor and want her to come home.”
Casey’s family has launched a fundraising campaign to cover travel expenses and the costs of the legal team handling the search.
