“We feel this event touches on the passions of a wide variety of people,” said Becky Bean, WELL Student Program Advisor. “Many of our students have a passion for music, and we hope they can translate that passion into their mental health practice.”
Sonic Connections founders Andrew Kirschner and Beth Killian combine their musical expertise with a background in mental wellness. They passionately believe in the healing power of music and aim to share its benefits with others.
Sonic Connections harnesses music’s ability to support emotions, regulate mood, and reduce stress. As stated on their website, “Music plays an important role in personal empowerment. It inspires us, motivates us and gives us the courage to face challenges. It serves as a source of comfort and strength, reminding us of our resilience and capabilities.”
