Fort Worth — TCU Athletics announced that the new Restoration and Wellness Center currently under construction will be named the Simpson Family Restoration and Wellness Center, in honor of a bequest from the Simpson family.
The 10,000-square-foot facility was named in honor of the Simpson family and is co-managed by Bob R. Simpson, chairman of TXO Partners and executive chairman of the 2023 World Series champion Texas Rangers. Gary D. Simpson of the University of Tokyo serves as administrator. Founder of REVFIT Texas and executive at TXO Partners.

“We cannot thank the Simpsons enough for their incredible generosity,” said TCU Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Jeremiah Donati. “In making the Simpson Family Restoration and Wellness Center a reality, they are committed to helping all 515 TCU student-athletes pursue their dreams, maximize their potential from a mental and physical standpoint, and stay healthy. We have ensured that we have access to the latest technology and innovations available to build behavior. “Our student-athletes are committed to helping Bob, Gary and Amy Ariz Simpson take care of their health, body, and mind. , we know that we are committed to mental health, and we are honored to have a facility that bears the Simpson family’s name.”

The Simpson Family Restoration and Wellness Center is one of four facilities included in the $50 million endowed Human Performance Center project. The Simpson Family Restoration and Wellness Center, scheduled for completion in July 2025, will make TCU the only school in the nation and her third facility in the United States with a dedicated snow room.

The snow room, which can accommodate 8 to 10 users, features sub-zero temperatures and an actual rainstorm to aid in the post-practice or workout recovery process. Flurry will be purple to match TCU’s official school color.

The Simpson Family Restoration and Wellness Center features a spa-like atmosphere with a nutrition area, cryo lounge, hydromassage pods, sauna, red light therapy, social and personal recovery spaces, and a hydrotherapy pool.

The cryolounge will feature targeted heat and cold therapy with an advanced recovery chair with complementary cooling and heating zones. Cold is applied to aches and minor aches, while heat is applied to other parts of the body for a comfortable experience. Hydromassage for health and muscle recovery provides powerful waves of warm water massage that target specific areas of the body, giving you a personalized and relaxing experience. Red light therapy can have positive effects on a person’s sleep, skin, fitness, mental acuity, and overall health.

In addition to the Simpson Family Restoration and Wellness Center, the gift from the Simpson family will also permanently establish Kaz Kazadi’s position as assistant athletic director for football human performance. .

“We love and respect all of our student-athletes and appreciate their hard work and incredible dedication to their team and TCU,” said Amy Ariz Simpson, co-founder of REVFIT Texas. ” “And first and foremost, they are talented human beings who deserve a place to recover and rejuvenate. The Restoration and Wellness Center not only provides them with a haven of rejuvenation, but also a place where they can rejuvenate in body, mind and spirit. It also provides a place for them to feel cared for and cared for in their ‘second home’. ”

The facility is home to the man who led the Horned Frogs to national championships in 1935 and 1938 and who said, “Fight ’til hell freezes over, then fight on the ice.”
