N.B.J. More than 1,000 U.S. consumers were recently surveyed who said they suffered from stress, anxiety, insomnia, depression, cognitive decline, or hormone-related mood imbalances. According to the survey, 55% of respondents said they believed nutritional supplements were effective in reducing symptoms and concerns. Looking at generational differences, members of Generation Z have the greatest buy-in. They are also the generation that receives the most support from professional help and counseling services.
N.B.J. We also looked at individuals who were taking supplements to support their mood and mental health. In this study, 70% of respondents said they noticed effective and positive changes when taking supplements to support their mood and mental health concerns. When compared to other generations, Gen Z showed the most effective results at 78%, indicating a huge market opportunity.
At the end of 2023, N.B.J. We provided a preliminary update on mood and mental health, one of the fastest growing conditions out of a total of 22 conditions tracked by the supplement industry. Sales are estimated at $1.4 billion, and supplement sales are expected to increase by 5.8% in 2023 compared to the previous year. This category showed the highest growth in 2020, given the need for relief during turbulent times.
