5 key features of Pixel Watch 2 to improve your health and fitness

A smartwatch does more than just tell you the time when you wear it on your wrist. To that end, there are many much lower cost and more user-friendly options. If you’re wearing a smartwatch, it’s best to actually use the features that make it smart.

This includes features aimed at health and wellness. After all, why own a Pixel Watch 2 if you don’t take advantage of the features that help make this watch special? You’ll be surprised how easy it is to make incremental changes.

What are these features that I keep mentioning? Here are five that I use the most. Please incorporate it into your daily life.

1. Heart rhythm assessment

This feature uses the Pixel Watch 2’s built-in sensors to collect data and looks for things like normal sinus rhythm, atrial fibrillation, high heart rate, low heart rate, and more. With the addition of this feature, the app on your watch will complete the reading in about 30 seconds, and once enough data has been collected, you can generate a PDF of the results to share with your healthcare professional.

To add tiles, open the Watch app on your phone and[タイル]Tap the button.[タイルの管理]on the page,[タイルの追加]Tap the button. Find ECG Quick Launch and tap the relevant + button to add the tile. After adding tiles, swipe the watch face until you see the ECG tile and tap Start. This completes the app setup (which is very easy). Once set up, simply launch the app and gently touch your finger to the crown of your watch for 30 seconds.

2. Body reaction

Another useful feature you can add is the Body Response Tile, which monitors your body’s stress and arousal by monitoring your heart rate, trace sweat levels, and skin temperature. These indicators are tracked as the body reacts at different moments throughout her day, and notify you when it senses reactions in your body that may indicate stress. You can also “check in” to the app by recording your mood (choose from stressed, worried, sad, irritated, calm, etc.).

3. Exercises

I’m a pretty active person. I like to divide my week into running and rowing and monitor those workouts on my watch. Pixel Watch 2 can automatically sense if you’re exercising, but it can’t determine the type of exercise you’re doing. That’s why I always start doing a certain type of exercise.

One of the great things about Pixel Watch 2 is that you can choose from a large number of different types of exercise, including running, walking, treadmill, rowing, aerobics, cycling, boot camp, canoeing, circuit training, core training, cross-country, and more. is. Skiing, crossfit, dance, elliptical, etc. With this feature, the Fitbit app (which must also be installed on your phone) collects data and keeps you informed about your status.

4. Sleep

I perform best when I get 6.5 to 7 hours of sleep each night. You can see if you’re staying within your ideal range by checking your sleep details in the Sleep app on your watch. But sleep apps give you more information than just how long you slept. Get an overview of your night’s rest, including wakefulness, REM sleep, light sleep, and deep sleep.

According to Healthline, most adults need 1.5 to 2 hours of deep sleep a night. I rarely get that deep sleep (my average is 50-60 minutes of deep sleep per night, although the CDC claims that 25% of your sleep should be deep sleep). Pixel Watch can help you track it. If you’re not getting enough sleep, your health and well-being suffer. Check your sleep stats every day.

5. Heart rate

Finally, there’s the good old heart rate monitor. I always check my heart rate, so I choose watch faces that include my heart rate. When your heart rate is above 80, you’re either exercising or feeling stressed. If your exercise rate increases because you’re not exercising, you know you need to change whatever you’re doing. Otherwise, there is a risk of negative health effects. By constantly checking your heart rate, you can begin to see patterns and take action to prevent your heart rate from increasing.
