One in five adults in North America experiences a mental illness, and the number of adults experiencing symptoms of anxiety or depression has nearly quadrupled since 2019. Mountain communities are disproportionately affected by the mental health crisis. Through Epic Wellness, we are focused on providing our employees with tools and resources focused on prevention. We achieve this through an extensive network of health care providers for quality care, close partnerships with local communities, and a comprehensive and compassionate approach to crisis management.

Making people aware of mental health resources is not enough. You also need to make sure they feel comfortable getting it. All employees, dependents, and household members have access to six free and confidential therapy sessions per year. The Katz Amsterdam Foundation and Charitable Trust was founded by Rob Katz, Executive Chairman of the Board of Vail Resorts, and his wife Elana Amsterdam, New York Times bestselling author and founder of Elana’s Pantry.
