It’s safe to say that former Manchester City star Micah Richards is not a fan of Arsenal legend Thierry Henry training in the gym.
Henry handed over the job to Richards, co-host of CBS Sports Golasso, and the two took part in some training sessions.
The pair were in the studio with presenter Kate Abdo and Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher during Tuesday night’s Champions League broadcast.
Before the night’s matches, which saw Man City beat FC Copenhagen and Real Madrid beat RB Leipzig, Henry, Richards and Abdo revealed that they had recently traveled to the United States to watch the Super Bowl in Las Vegas. looked back.
They appear to have spent some of their off time in the gym, and any football fan would think Richards is in his element.
But he appears to have received a bit of a schooling from Gunners great Henry, with the former Man City defender sweating it out as he took charge of training.
As part of the video, Richards is seen wiping sweat from his forehead and saying: “Never, never, never, and I mean, never train with this guy.” [Thierry Henry]. ”
“It’s not normal, seriously,” he added breathlessly.
Meanwhile, Henry can be seen casually taking a sip of water with his arms bent in the background, and the 46-year-old looks surprisingly healthy despite hanging up his boots 10 years ago.
Henry, who played 377 games and scored 228 goals for Arsenal, previously revealed that staying fit had always been part of his regime.
“I’ve been a sportsman all my life, and fitness is something I’ve always cared about and something that came to me instinctively,” he said in an interview with GQ magazine.
“But whether you’re an athlete or not, you always have to fight with your mind to find the motivation to go to the gym.”
“I look at other retired football players who have lost their shape. I look at them and think, ‘I don’t want to be like that!'”
“So no matter where I am, I try to get a good hour of gym time in every day.”
I can definitely see that, Titi!
