Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization, will speak alongside leaders from other United Nations agencies, development and government partners to launch this new chapter in digital health transformation.
About the global digital health initiative
The Global Initiative on Digital Health (GIDH) is a WHO-managed network that aims to scale up and coordinate resources for country-led digital health transformation through increased collaboration and knowledge exchange. It will serve as a vehicle to accelerate the implementation of the Global Strategy on Digital Health 2020-2025.
This initiative aims to achieve the following goals through collaborative efforts:
- Assess and prioritize countries’ needs for sustainable digital health transformation.
- Strengthen collaboration between national digital health resources and unfunded priorities.
- Global Strategy for Digital Health Helping you accelerate the achievement of your strategic goals for 2020-2025.
- Build capacity and focus efforts to foster regional development, sustainment, and adaptation of digital health technologies to continuously changing needs.
