Omni HealthHelping hospitals monetize their operational data, has launched an AI-powered platform to help medical technology companies leverage data on more than 75 million patients.
The first two companies to use data are AI-powered clinical trial design companies QuantHealth and life sciences company ArisGlobal.
QuantHealth will add OMNY’s data to its existing AI technology, which is trained on a dataset of 350 million patients. The companies said the collaboration will enable QuantHealth’s pharmaceutical partners to accelerate drug development through simulated clinical trials and predict clinical trial outcomes, patient responses, and drug efficacy.
ArisGlobal, which focuses on drug development, safety monitoring and clinical research, is using the technology to reduce clinical trial risks, identify treatment-sensitive populations and improve clinical trial timelines. The company currently offers LifeSphere, an R&D software platform for life sciences companies.
“Our mission is to take data out of silos so it can be shared, analyzed, and used to power life-saving treatments and better care for patients,” OMNY Health CEO Mitesh Rao said in a statement.
“Life sciences organizations and providers are often plagued by time and budget constraints that hinder their ability to learn from data. Our efforts to power our AI-driven platform will eliminate this process by partnering with AI developers equipped with the data and tools to accelerate breakthrough therapies and monitor new treatments for safety signals to ensure the safety of patient populations.”
Larger trends
ArisGlobal previously partnered with OMNY Health. Earlier this year, we announced the launch of Real World Data (RWD) data subscriptions within the LifeSphere Safety platform to transform safety signal validation in clinical trials.
Last year, OMNY The company announced a partnership with Datavant, a data-sharing technology startup, to speed the delivery of real-world, de-identified data from provider organizations to drug developers and clinical researchers.
The collaboration will allow healthcare providers to access OMNY’s services through Datavant’s platform and transform EHR data into research-friendly datasets.
QuantHealth has secured funding to further strengthen its clinical trial platform. Last year, the company The company raised $15 million in Series A funding, with additional investment earlier this year bringing its total Series A funding to $17 million.
