HYROX, the World Series of Fitness Racing, announced today that GoodLife Fitness will be the official title sponsor of HYROX Toronto 2024, Canada’s first HYROX indoor fitness race, which will take place at the Enercare Centre on October 5th and 6th, 2024. GoodLife’s sponsorship secures additional dates for the already sold-out competition, which will accommodate 9,000 competitors and over 10,000 spectators.
GoodLife members and employees will have special access to HYROX Toronto events with a member lounge and other promotional programs, and GoodLife will sponsor athlete communications, pre-race check-in, event rankings, individual results and completion certificates.
“As Canada’s largest fitness club chain, GoodLife offers the widest range of training programs, amenities and equipment needed for HYROX training, including strength, functional and cardio equipment, Turf Zone for sled pushing and REGYMEN classes,” said Tammy Brazier, senior vice president of marketing, partnerships and external relations at GoodLife Fitness. “Our associates and members already participate in HYROX training, so it’s a great opportunity to bring this event to Canada and allow more competitors and spectators to participate in this mass participation fitness event. HYROX is truly an event for people of all ages and abilities.”
HYROX chose to partner with Canada’s largest fitness chain for its first Canadian event due to GoodLife’s network of well-equipped clubs and large membership base across Canada.
“GoodLife Fitness is a great partner for us as we continue to grow our presence in Canada as a well-known name with over one million members across all levels of fitness,” said Douglas Gremen, Managing Director, HYROX USA & Canada. “As a mission-driven company with the goal of providing every Canadian with the opportunity to live a healthy and fit life, we knew from our initial conversations that we were aligned not only as partners, but in our respective philosophies.”
HYROX combines both running and functional training stations, with participants running 1km, followed by one functional training station, repeated eight times. This race format is consistent around the world, allowing for a global leaderboard and cumulative world championships at the end of each racing season. HYROX athletes, ages 16-89, can compete at their own pace. Participants are not required to meet any eligibility or entry criteria and there is no deadline.
