Delaware Department of Education
More than 140 students and advisors from across Delaware joined more than 12,000 members at the 47th HOSA-Future Health Professionals International Leadership Conference, held June 26-29 in Houston.
Delaware students represented the state in competitive events including medical mathematics, public health, behavioral health and community awareness.
Delaware HOSA is a career and technical student organization for students interested in pursuing careers in the health care field. Through HOSA-Future Health Professionals, members have the opportunity to participate in career-focused competitive events, participate in community service activities, and become organizational leaders at the school, state, and international levels.
HOSA-Future Health Professionals incorporates curricular and extracurricular experiences and emphasizes the importance of knowledge, leadership, skill development and teamwork.
The following students and advisors were recognized at competitive events:

The HOSA Outstanding Achievement Award recognizes efforts in collaboration with the Delaware Department of Public Health to create a public health exhibit and share valuable information about a specific public health concern or issue.
