Indian superstar Amitabh Bachchan has stunned audiences with his extraordinary, action-packed performance in Kalki 2898AD. People are astonished at the stamina of the actor who continues to deliver astounding performances at the age of 81.
Recently, his trainers Shivoham and Vrinder Mehta spoke about the actor’s disciplined and dedicated fitness routine. In an interview with Humans of Bombay, they said that the actor’s priority towards fitness can inspire the younger generation.
Vrinder praised Big B’s dedication to making time for fitness and exercise in between his busy schedule, saying, “If Amitabh Bachchan can make time for exercise, so can an average person. The mindset is that if you know something is good for you, then do it. It’s not a question of comfort or lack of time… If Bachchan can make time for exercise, an average person can make time for exercise too.”
Explaining the type of sessions Bachchan undergoes, she said, “A session with Amit Guru is mainly about breathing exercises. We start with basic breathing exercises and then move on to pranayama and basic yoga stress. Mindset… he is the father of it all.”
Vrinda says working with him has taught her the importance of discipline, punctuality and humility. “He is punctual. Earlier, when I was mentoring him, he used to come to work at 6am and he was rarely late. If he was a little late, he would call and say, ‘I am a little late, sorry’. He doesn’t need to apologise for five or seven minutes…we take it for granted but I have learnt the importance of time from him,” Vrinda says.
Amitabh Bachchan is currently enjoying huge success with Naag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898AD, his performance as Ashvatthaman in the film garnered much applause and praise from the audience.
