WHEELING — WVU Medicine is ultimately in the wellness business, said Douglas Harrison, president and CEO of WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital and Reynolds Memorial Hospital. The organization not only wants to provide the best care for patients when they walk through its hospital doors, but it also wants Ohio Valley residents to feel their best every day.
So Harrison said it was natural for WVU Medicine to return as the title sponsor of the Ogden Newspaper Wellness Weekend.
“I think it’s important for us to participate in community events like this that have a health theme.” Harrison said. “So many people go to the hospital when they need emergency room or acute care. Mr Harrison said the appeal of the weekend was the variety of events and that there was something for everyone.
